POLICE ARREST FOUR FOR ARMED ROBBERY IN BRIGHTONAt about 11:07pm, on Monday, January 19, 2009, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in the area of 38 Gardner Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that he was robbed at gunpoint by four men (3 black and 1 white). According to the witness, he was walking along the street when a tan car pulled up next to him. When the car stopped, the victim says four suspects exited the car, approached him and robbed him. According to the victim, one of the suspects showed a firearm. After robbing him, the suspects entered a tan car and fled the scene. In short time, officers observed and stopped a car fitting the description of the suspect motor vehicle. With the car stopped, officers brought the victim to the scene of the stop. Once on scene, the victim was able to positively identify the suspects.
Officers arrested Brandon Bacheldo, 19, of Cambridge, Tory Howard, 25, of Boston, Rubin Sindor, 18, of Cambridge and a 16 year-old male from Malden and charged all four with Armed Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Assault & Battery by Mean of a Dangerous Weapon.
IF MY FRIEND GOES .. I WANT TO GO TOO
At about 2:45pm, on Monday, January 19, 2009, officers from A-1 (Downtown) were in the process of arresting an unruly fan and transporting him to Area A-1 for booking when the suspect’s friend began to interfere with the arresting officers. Specifically, the suspect’s friend began to verbally abuse and disrespect the officers. Additionally, the suspect’s friend began to circle and stand next to the officers. On several different occasions, the individual was warned that if he continued to interfere with the officers, he would be subject to arrest. In response to the warning, the suspect’s friend stated, “I want to ride with him! (Profanity) you!” At this point, officers decided to grant the individual his request.
Officers arrested Alex Luthman, 21, of Ohio and charged him with Being a Disorderly Person. Luthman was transported to Area A-1 with his friend.

At about 3:35pm, on Monday, January 19, 2009, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a person with a gun in the area of 20 Wellington Hill Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that two males, one with a gun, attempted to rob him. The victim says the suspects then ran behind 20 Wellington Hill Street. When officers went to the backyard, officers observed fresh footprints in the recently fallen snow. Officers followed the footprints to the rear of a building. Officers then entered the building and continued to follow the footprints to a 3rd apartment. Once on the 3rd floor, officers heard what sounded like people moving around in the apartment. When officers knocked on the door and identified themselves as police officers, the noise inside the apartment stopped. When no one answered the door, officers requested additional units (including SWAT) to respond to the scene. Once on scene, SWAT entered the location, located and apprehended the two suspects. Once out of the building, the suspects were also positively identified by the victim.
Officers arrested Keon Fuller-Simmons, 20, of Mattapan and a 16 year-old male from Boston and charged both with Armed Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
