DAILY INCIDENTS FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2009

UNWELCOME GUEST ARRESTED AT DOWNTOWN HOTELAt about 11:36pm, on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, officers from Area A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for a disturbance at the Hyatt Hotel at 1 Ave DeLafayette. On arrival, officers spoke to employees of the hotel who stated that the guest or guests in a room on the 6th floor were disturbing guests in the adjoining rooms. According to hotel employees, the occupants of the room were making an unreasonable amount of noise. When hotel employees knocked on the door, an individual inside the room began verbally abusing and spitting at the employees. When officers knocked on the door, the occupant of the room began to verbally berate and abuse the officers. Officers quickly noted that the individual appeared to be intoxicated given his glassy eyes, lack of balance and the odor of alcohol emanating from his breath. When asked to calm down, the suspect adopted a fighting stance in anticipation of a physical altercation. Officers arrested Cedric Bertrand, 32, of California and charged him with Being a Disorderly Person.
URINATOR ARRESTED IN ROXBURY
At about 1:47pm, on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) were on patrol in the area of 2375 Washington Street when they observed a small group of females huddled together. As officers approached the group, officers observed one of the females drop her pants and proceed to urinate. Officers arrested Michelle Carter, 28, of Boston and charged her with Open & Gross Lewdness.
ROAD RAGE INCIDENT LANDS ONE IN POLICE CUSTODY
At about 3:07pm, on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call to investigate a person who smashed a car window in the area of Tremont Street and Roxse Drive. While en route to the call, officers learned that the incident may have been road rage related. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that he was traveling along Tremont Street when he was forced to stop short. Upon stopping short, the victim says the car behind him was forced to stop short as well. Victim says the operator of that car then walked up to his car and smashed the driver’s side window with his fist. While officers were speaking to the victim, the suspect returned to the scene. While speaking to the officers, the suspect stated, “I did it. I broke the window.” Officers arrested Luis Perollo, 25, of Boston and charged him with the Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property.
