Victim of 96 Stanwood Street Shooting Identified

On Wednesday, January 7, 2009 around 9:21PM, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person or persons shot in the area of 96 Stanwood Street in Dorchester.On arrival, officers located two individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The two victims, a 36 year-old male and a 36 year-old female were both transported to Boston Medical Center, the male with life threatening injuries, and the female with non-life threatening injuries. The male victim, Tyrone Smith, 36 of Roxbury was pronounced after arriving at the hospital.
