UPDATE : BOSTON POLICE ARREST SUSPECT WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH ASSAULT & BATTERY IN WEST ROXBURY

On Saturday, December 27, 2008, officers from Area E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to a radio call for an assault and battery in West Roxbury. According to the victim, she and the suspect returned to her home after attending a nightclub together. Upon returning to the victim’s home, the victim says the suspect began to punch and kick her. By the time police arrived, the suspect was gone. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.Shortly after this incident, Dedham Police received a phone call from someone related to the suspect. According to the suspect’s relative, the suspect was acting strange and talked of hurting himself. The relative further stated that the suspect said he was not afraid if the police attempted to harm or hurt him.
Today, at about 11:30am, on Sunday, December 28, 2008, officers from Area D-4 (South End) apprehended Hosea Richardson, 33, of Newton and charged him with Assault & Battery. Richardson was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. Richardson will be arraigned pending his release from the hospital.
