STABBING INCIDENT LANDS ONE IN POLICE CUSTODYAt about 1:24am, on Saturday, December 20, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in the area of 7 Fernboro Street. On arrival, officers located and observed a male victim suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim was promptly transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Officers spoke to multiple witnesses who stated that the victim was drinking inside his apartment when he ordered the suspect to leave the location. Witnesses say the victim then escorted the suspect out of his apartment. Once outside, witnesses say the two men began fighting. During the course of the altercation, witnesses say they observed the suspect pull out a sharp object (possibly a box cutter) and cut the victim. Officers subsequently broadcast a description of the suspect over Channel 3 of the police radio. In short time, officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect. As officers approached the suspect, officers noted the suspect had blood on his face and clothing. When asked about the stabbing, the suspect stated, “I was there but I didn’t stab anyone.”
Officers arrested William White, 27, of Boston and charged him with Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife).
POLICE ARREST ONE FOR BEING DISORDERLY IN DORCHESTER
At about 1:03am, on Sunday, December 21, 2008, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person causing a disturbance in the area of 469 Neponset Ave (Ups & Downs bar). On arrival, officers spoke to bar employees who pointed to a suspect who had been starting fights and trying to break car windows in front of the establishment. Bar employees say they refused to allow the customer inside the location. When officers looked over at the suspect, the suspect began punching a window on a car. As officers approached, the suspect walked towards them, fell over a snow bank and into the side of a car. When officers helped the suspect to his feet, the suspect began yelling and screaming at the officers. Moreover, the suspect attempted to punch the officers.
Officers arrested Ryan Claire, 27, of Boston and charged him with Resisting Arrest, Assault & Battery on a Police Officer and Disorderly Conduct.
