Boston Police Area B-3 Christmas/Holiday Celebration WHO: Officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan/Dorchester), members of the Dorchester-Mattapan Neighborhood Council, Boston Police Athletic League and, possibly, Santa Claus
WHAT: Please join officers, staff and members of the Area B-3 community for a holiday celebration. There will be refreshments, food, fun and presents for all attending. This event is designed for children between the ages of toddler to 10. Come in and mingle with the officers!!!
The Boston Police Department is teaming up with the Morton Norfolk Coalition and area residents to host the annual holiday party. Since 1995, Boston police officers have donated toys and gifts to hundreds of Boston families during the holiday season. This year, the Morton Norfolk Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) Coalition, sponsored by the Boston Public Health Commission, will raffle store gift cards to help families purchase food. They will also provide information on city resources, such as after school programming and other opportunities.
