DAILY INCIDENTS FOR SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2008

POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING AT 612 BLUE HILL AVEAt about 11:14pm, on December 5, 2008, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 612 Blue Hill Avenue (Stash’s Restaurant). On arrival, officers spoke to witnesses who stated that the victim was shot while standing in line waiting for food. Witnesses say the victim was standing next to the suspect when the suspect’s firearm fell to the ground and discharged. When the firearm discharged, the victim was struck in the head. Seeing this, the suspect fled the establishment. Witnesses describe the suspect as a black male, in his early 20’s, with braided hair wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. The victim was immediately transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Area B-3 (Mattapan) detectives at (617) 343-4712.

SLEEPING BEAUTY: TAKE I
At about 6:15am, on Saturday, December 6, 2008, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 10 Harbor Point Blvd for a resident complaining about an unknown male sleeping on his couch. On arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated that his daughter discovered an unknown male sleeping on their couch when she woke for breakfast. Officers entered the location and observed the male still sound asleep on the couch. Officers woke the suspect and asked him to explain why he was sleeping on a couch in an apartment that didn’t belong to him. The suspect stated that he thought he was sleeping in his friend’s apartment. However, the owner of the apartment stated that he had no idea who the suspect was and they were definitely not friends. While the suspect was talking, officers noted that the suspect appeared to be intoxicated due to slurred speech and an odor of alcohol emanating from his person.
Officers arrested Dominic Dallesandro, 18, of Weymouth and charged him with Breaking & Entering (Nighttime).
SLEEPING BEAUTY: TAKE II
At about 1:45AM, on Saturday, December 6, 2008, officers from Area A-7 (East Boston) responded to a radio call for a person sleeping in a motor vehicle in the front of 325 East Eagle Street in East Boston. On arrival, officers observed an individual sleeping or unconscious while seated at the wheel of a motor vehicle with its’ engine running. Officers quickly observed no damage to the car. Officers began knocking on the window, shaking the car and yelling at the operator in an effort to wake him. Despite all the noise, the operator remained sleeping. At this point, members of the Boston Fire Department broke the passenger-side window in order to gain entry to the car. Once inside the car, EMT’s attempted to evaluate and wake the operator. However, when the operator woke, he began to punch and slap the EMT’s. At this point, officers intervened and handcuffed the suspect. While attempting to speak to the suspect, officers noted that the suspect appeared to be intoxicated given his slurred speech and the odor of alcohol emanating from his clothes and breath.
Officers arrested Antonio Valdivieso, 28, of East Boston and charged him with Operating Under the Influence, Assault & Battery on a Police Officer and EMT.
