DAILY INCIDENTS FOR TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2008

Death Investigation at 102 Fawndale Road in RoslindaleThis morning around 1:06AM, officers from District E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to 102 Fawndale Rd. for shots fired.
On arrival, officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The first victim, an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound, was treated on scene and transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for further treatment by EMS. The victim was subsequently pronounced at the hospital as a result of his injuries. The second victim, a 25 year-old male was treated on scene also and transported to Beth Israel Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Boston Police Homicide detectives are actively investigating the facts and circumstances of this shooting and urge any and all members of the public who may have information about this incident to contact them at (617) 343-4470. Caught on Candid Camera
Last night around 11:11PM, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 261 Adams St. in Dorchester for a breaking and entering in progress at 261 Adams Street in Dorchester.
On arrival, officers spoke to the owner of the barbershop located at that location who reported that he was sleeping when he heard the alarm go off. The victim reported that he looked at the video camera and observed a 6’ tall black male with medium build in his forties wearing a black knit hat with the words South Pole on it, and a dark leather jacket inside his shop. The victim reported that he observed the suspect pry the front door with an unknown object and enter the barbershop. The victim went in the shop after the suspect left and discovered that the cash register had been emptied and a sum of money taken from the drawer.
A description of the suspect was broadcast and a short while later, officers found the suspect at the intersection of Geneva Ave. and Westville Street. In a nearby gutter, officers located a screwdriver belonging to the suspect along with prescription medication not belonging to the suspect. The suspect, Robert Royals, 41, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering, Possession of Burglarious Tools, and Possession of Class C.
B&E Motor Vehicle Suspect Caught “Red Handed”
About 12:37AM today, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to 68 St. Stephens St. in the South End for a crime in progress.
On arrival, officers observed an individual matching the suspect description inside the described car that was reportedly the object of a breaking and entering. As officers pulled up to the car, the suspect exited the car and started walking away. As the suspect walked away, officers ordered him to stop but he took off running. Officers pursued the suspect and caught him after a brief foot pursuit at which time he struggled against officers to avoid arrest. The pursuing officer was able to successfully handcuff the suspect with the help of several assisting officers.
Once the suspect handcuffed, officers found a car key in his pocket that allowed officer to find his car along with the registration to the car he had broken into. An ongoing investigation lead officers to the suspect’s car that was located a short distance from where officers had the suspect. Inside his car, officers found a checkbook with the name of the owner of the car that the suspect had broken into, along with a GPS system. Officers were able to find the owner of the car that had been broken into who positively identified the stolen items located in the suspect’s car.
After the victim positively identified the stolen items from his car, two witnesses came forward and told officers that they had observed the suspect checking car doors and subsequently saw him inside the victim’s car just prior to police arrival. The suspect, Louis Ferro, 30, of Providence, RI was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle in the Night, Receiving Stolen Goods and resisting Arrest.
