STABBING OUTSIDE DORCHESTER COURTHOUSE LANDS ONE BEHIND BARSAt about 10:54am, on Monday, November 17, 2008, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in the area of Tremlett and Washington Streets. On arrival, officers observed an individual suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound to the face. Upon speaking to the victim, officers learned that the victim was walking inside the Dorchester District courthouse when an individual physically bumped into him in the stairwell. According to the victim, words were briefly exchanged, but the individual thought nothing of it as he exited the courthouse. However, once outside, the victim states that the same individual ran up to him and cut him in the face with what appeared to be a knife. Victim says the suspect then fled (on foot) down Tremlett Street. An ambulance responded and treated the victim on scene. Since, the suspect was first seen inside the courthouse, officers returned to the courthouse to see if they could locate the suspect. Once inside, officers located the suspect sitting in the hallway.
Officers arrested Brock Randolph, 21, of Dorchester and charged him with Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife) and Mayhem.
At about 2:38pm, on Monday, November 17, 2008, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) and members of the Governors’ Auto Theft Strike Force were working in the area of 2 Barry Street in Dorchester when they observed a car reported stolen out of East Boston. Since the car was park and unoccupied, officers set up surveillance on the car in hopes of locating the suspect. In short time, officers observed a black male approach and enter the car. As the suspect was about to drive off, officers surrounded the motor vehicle and apprehended the suspect. When the officers asked the suspect to provide proof of ownership, the suspect stated, \”I rented the vehicle from a guy named Ronald.\”
Officers arrested Alexander Delarosa, 33, of Boston and charged him with Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle, Using without Authority and Operating after Suspension.
