DAILY INCIDENTS FOR TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2008

THREE UNARMED ROBBERS ARRESTED DOWNTOWNAt about 3:30am, on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, officers, performing a paid detail on Area A-1 (Downtown), were approached by an individual stating that three black males had just robbed him. Officers quickly broadcast a description of the suspects over Channel 2 of the police radio. In short time, officers were able to locate three individuals matching the description of the suspects. While officers were questioning the suspects, the victim was brought to the scene for identification purposes. Once on scene, the victim was able to positively identify all three suspects.
Officers arrested Bobby Dodson, 42, of Roxbury, Donald Plenty, 52, of Boston and Reginald Spencer, 39, of Boston and charged all three with Unarmed Robbery.
SPEEDING MOTOR VEHICLE LANDS ONE IN POLICE CUSTODY
At about 1:46am, on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) were on patrol when they observed a motor vehicle operating at a high rate of speed in the area of Washington and Armandine Streets. When officers attempted to stop the motor vehicle, the operator refused to stop. As a result, officers discontinued their pursuit and broadcast a description of the suspect’s motor vehicle over the police radio. In the meantime, although unable to keep up with the car, officers did their best to follow the vehicle from a safe distance. At one point, it appeared the motor vehicle had come to a stop, but as officers got closer, the car sped up and took off again. Officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) were able to locate the car as it sped down Talbot Avenue. Officers observed the car come to a stop after crashing into a light pole. While approaching the car, officers observed the suspect exit the motor vehicle and flee on foot. After a short foot pursuit, officers apprehended the suspect. Upon being apprehended, the suspect stated, “I wasn’t even the one driving the whole time. He got out!” When officers asked the suspect to identify the other driver, the suspect refused.
Officers arrested Steve Johnson, 21, of Dorchester and charged him with Operating without Being Licensed, Driving to Endanger, Failure to Stop for a Police Officer, Leaving the Scene of an Accident (Property Damage).
MAN ARRESTED BREAKING & ENTERING MOTOR VEHICLES IN EAST BOSTON
At about 10:49pm, on Monday, November 3, 2008, officers from Area A-7 (East Boston) assigned to the Area A-7 Safe Street Team, were on patrol when they observed an individual rummaging around in the rear bed of a pick-up truck in the area of Marion and White Streets. When the suspect saw officers approaching, the suspect quickly stopped what he was doing and began to walk away. Upon catching up to the suspect, officers discovered that the suspect was not the owner of the truck.
Officers arrested Shawn Holland, 25, of East Boston and charged him with Breaking & Entering a Motor Vehicle.
