Suspect Arrested for Robbing Food Delivery DriverLast night around 10:00PM, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested a 16 year-old juvenile suspect from Dorchester and charged him with Assault with Intent to Rob.
Just prior to the arrest, the victim of an attempted robbery walked in to District 3 to report that while he was making a delivery at 2 Sutton St. two males attempted to rob him. The victim stated on arrival at the above location, he called the given number for the delivery but received no response. The victim, feeling that some thing was wrong, started began leaving when an unknown male called him back. The victim backed up his car, and was told by this unknown male that he would go get the person that ordered the food. According to the victim, the unknown male walked back to the door, and rang the doorbell to the door. The unknown male then walked back to the victim and stated to him that he would pay for the order and started looking through his pockets as if looking for money.
The victim, while waiting for this unknown male to retrieve the money, observed another male approaching him from the rear with a mask covering half his face carrying a firearm. At this time, the peeled off in his car and fled from that location and came directly to the police station. Officers were dispatched to the location of the incident a short time later and while en route, observed group of standing short distance from the location of the incident. Officers stopped and detained one member of the group who was wearing a mask identical to the one described by the victim, and wearing the same clothing as the individual observed carrying the firearm. It should be noted that as officers approached the suspect, he immediately removed the mask from his face and admitted to officers that he had a BB gun on his person. Furthermore, the suspect sobbed to officers, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I won’t do it again!”
The victim was brought back to the scene and positively identified the suspect but was unable to identify the other suspect from the group that was stopped.
Boston Cops Are “Softies”
This morning around 2:05AM, officers from District D-4 (south End) responded to the corner of Huntington Ave. and Exeter St. to investigate a person.
While on scene, officers observed staff from the Saint escorting an unruly patron from the bar. Officers observed that the patron was uncooperative with the staff as he refused to leave the area and began yelling obscenities at the staff. In addition, officers noticed that the rowdy patron started yelling at and harassing at other patrons who were leaving the bar.
Officers approached the suspect when he started walking from the sidewalk into the streets causing traffic to come to a stop and bystanders to start to gather. Officers advised the suspect to get into one of the waiting cabs and go home but he refused. Officers made note that the suspect was intoxicated by virtue of his bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and unsteady gait. Officers advised the suspect numerous times to leave to no avail, as did an individual who was in the company of the suspect.
After several failed attempts to get the suspect to enter a cab, he finally complied but now rolled down the window to the cab and continued in his angry, drunken tirade again drawing a crowd. The suspect’s conduct was so outrageous that he caused the cab driver to be in fear. Having made note that the suspect behavior was not going to cease, officers placed the suspect, Patrick A. Johnson, 25, of Dorchester under arrest charging him Being a Disorderly Person. At the booking desk, the suspect continued his tumultuous behavior, exclaiming to officers, “I called you every name in the book and you didn’t do (expletive), D.C. Police would have beaten my ass, you are a bunch of softies!”
Dancing in the Streets, No Laughing Matter
This morning around 6:00AM, officers from District D-4 (South End) arrested suspect, Sheilagh Barry, 42, of Boston and charged her with Disturbing the Peace, and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
While on patrol in the area of Stuart St. officers observed the suspect walking in and out of traffic. Officers approached the suspect and told her to get out of the street and remain on the sidewalk. The suspect, after being told to get out of the street, started walking out of the street. But as officers were leaving the area, they again saw the suspect walking, dancing and jumping around in the street as cars swerved around her to avoid hitting her.
Officers then approached the suspect and placed her under arrest for Disturbing the Peace. During the arrest, the suspect resisted being placed in handcuffs. After being placed in handcuffs and transported to the district, the suspect was uncooperative at the booking desk, and verbally abused officers calling them derogatory names and made racist remarks. At one point during the booking process, the suspect kicked an officer with shod feet and charged accordingly.
