DRINKING IN PUBLIC NEVER A SMART THING TO DOAt about 2:18pm, on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to radio call for a person drinking in public in the area of Ramsey Park at 2007 Washington Street. On arrival, officers located a black male drinking what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage. Upon closer inspection, officers were able to confirm that the suspect was, in fact, drinking a 24 oz. can of beer. As a result, officers arrested Albert Lorenzo, 41, of Boston and charged him with Drinking in Public.
GRAFFITI ARREST MADE IN THE BACK BAY
At about 3:45pm, on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, officers from Area D-4 (Back Bay) received information about an individual generating and creating graffiti in the area of Clarendon and Dartmouth Streets. According to witnesses, the suspect was “tagging” a monument inside the Commonwealth Mall. On arrival, officers located an individual matching the description provided by the witnesses. After viewing the graffiti on the monument, officers approached the suspect. When officers asked the suspect if he was responsible for the graffiti, he stated, ”Yah, I drew the picture.” Officers arrested a 15 year-old male from South Boston and charged him with Damage to Property (Graffiti).
TWO ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED ROBBERY IN DORCHESTER
At about 4:36am, on Thursday, June 12, 2008, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that two Hispanic males, on bicycles, approached him, stated that they had a gun and demanded money. Officers promptly broadcast a description of the suspects over the police radio. In short time, officers located two individuals riding bicycles in the area of the incident. When officers asked the suspects to explain what they were doing in the area, the suspects stated they were coming from a girl’s house. While officers were talking to the suspects, the victim was brought to the scene. Once on scene, the victim was able to positively identify both of the suspects. A search of one of the suspects enabled officers to locate and seize a knife. Officers arrested Randy Galvao, 18, of Dorchester and Joao Filipe Vicente, 18, of Dorchester and charged him with Attempted Robbery.
