WHAT: Superintendent Holloway will be available to discuss the assault of an 88-year-old female victim which occurred early this morning in Hyde Park.
WHEN: Wednesday, April 23 at 4:00pm
WHERE: Boston Police Headquarters, Media Room
WHY: This morning around 5:15am, Boston Police officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for an incident relative to an elderly person having been assaulted.
There, officers spoke to an 88-year-old victim and determined that the actual incident occurred around 4:00am. Based on information gathered at the scene, investigators believe that the victim was physically assaulted, but are concerned about the possibility of a sexual assault. Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
The location of this incident is a very active crime scene, and detectives are canvassing the area to locate any evidence that may be helpful.
