DAILY INCIDENTS FOR SUNDAY, APRIL 13, 2008

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SUSPECT ARRESTED IN DORCHESTERAt about 11:15pm, on Saturday, April 12, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for domestic violence at 17 Creston Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that the suspect showed up at his door and punched him in the face. According to the victim, the suspect then jumped into a red car and fled the scene. While fleeing the scene, the suspect struck a parked car on Creston Street. The suspect then veered towards a responding police cruiser. A description of the suspect’s motor vehicle was promptly broadcast over the police radio. Officers soon located the motor vehicle and were able to stop the car in the area of Sydney Street. Once stopped, the suspect took off on foot in an effort to make good his escape. After a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested Edwin Robles, 38, of Dorchester and charged him with Assault & Battery (209A), Assault & Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon (car) and Destruction of Personal Property. All in all, the suspect struck several vehicles in his effort to escape police. Two officers were transported to the Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect will be arraigned tomorrow in Roxbury District Court.
ARMED ROBBERS ARRESTED IN ROXBURY
At about 9:25pm, on Saturday, April 12, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person who had been jumped in the area of 1216 Blue Hill Avenue. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that a group of males (approximately 5) had jumped him earlier in the day. According to the victim, the suspects hit him in the head with a brick, stole his money, his MBTA pass and his bankcard. Victim further stated that he self-admitted himself to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Upon his release, victim says he spotted two of the suspects that attacked him. Officers broadcast a description of the suspects over the police radio. Additionally, officers asked the victim to ride along with them as they searched the immediate area for the suspects. In short time, the victim, again, spotted the two suspects. Officers arrested Omar Jackson, 19, of Dorchester and Andre Malabre, 19, of Dorchester and charged both with Armed Robbery.
ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT ARRESTED IN THE SOUTH END
At about 1:49am, on Saturday, April 12, 2008, officers from Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress in the area of Garrison Street and the South West Corridor. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that he was walking along the Corridor when two males approached him from behind. According to the victim, one of the suspects stood in front of him while the other grabbed him from behind. At this point, the suspects told the victim, “Give me whatever you got.” One of the suspects also told the victim that he had a knife. When the victim handed over his money, one of the suspects punched him in the face. A description of the suspects was promptly broadcast over the police radio. In short time, officers located and stopped one of the suspects. After the victim positively identified the suspect, officers arrested Rubil Nova, 20, of Roxbury and charged him with Armed Robbery.
