Two Suspects Arrested For Trying to Steal Stolen CarAt approximately 7:50pm, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) were monitoring the area of Pleasant St. due to complaints of illicit drug use and distribution.
While offices were monitoring the area, officers observed two individuals attempting to gain access into a parked motor vehicle by using a coat hanger. Officers approached the two suspects, and conducted an investigation into their activity. The investigation revealed that the car they were trying to enter had been reported stolen on 3/30/08.
The suspects, Dennis R. Willis, 40, of Boston and Robert L. Wright, 44, of South Boston were both arrested and charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
Things People Tell the Police
Around 8:15pm last night, officers from District B-2 (Dorchester and Roxbury) were walking into the lobby when they observed a verbal argument between two individuals.
Officers spoke to an individual who they later determined to be the victim, and she reported that the suspect, who was on scene, had robbed her of $49.00. The victim stated that she was approached by the suspect on the corner of Dearborn and Dudley Streets and asked if she had money to buy crack cocaine. The victim reported that she took her money out to show the suspect when he punched her and took her money. The victim reported that she had one $20 dollar bill, two $10 dollar bills, one $5.00 dollar bill and four $1.00 dollar bills.
After she was assaulted and robbed the victim told the suspect that she was going to report him to the police and he followed telling that he would report to the police that it was his money. Officers then spoke to the suspect who consented to be searched by officers telling them that he only had change on his person. During the search of the suspect, officers recovered $49.00 from the suspect hidden in various pockets but in the same multiples reported by the victim.
Officers arrested suspect, Vincent Dean, 45, of Boston and charged him Unarmed Robbery.
Bad Blood Between Neighbors Lands One in Jail
Last night around 11:08pm, officer from District D-4 (South End and Roxbury) responded to 30 East Concord St. for a group of men fighting.
On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who reported coming home from walking his dog, and observing a lot of activity coming and going from his neighbor’s house. The victim stated that he then approached his neighbor and told him that he needed to stop prostituting in his apartment. Per the victim, his neighbor “flipped out” and started to yell and then hit him in the head with his high heel shoe.
The suspect, Hung T. Nguyen, 37, of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, and his shoes were seized as evidence.
Vigilance Pays Off for Officers
Yesterday around 12:55pm, officers from District C-6 (South Boston) on patrol in the area of Boston St. in Dorchester when they observed two individuals walking with a yellow toolbox as well as two backpacks, one of which had headlights sticking out from it.
Officers, cognizant of problems with car breaks as well as vandalism to cars in the area to area, stopped the two individuals to conduct a threshold inquiry. During the stop, the two individuals told officers that they had taken the items in their possession from the trash. It should be noted that it was not trash day, and the items were still dry with drywall dust on them. Officers questioned the two individuals as to ownership of the toolbox and whether they knew the combination to the lock on it, and neither knew the combination. During further questioning, neither individual could tell officers where they had found the tools or the headlight.
Both suspects, Brian L. Jolliemore, 25, and Donald A. Jolliemore, 18, both of Quincy were arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property. During a booking search of suspect, Donald Jolliemore, officers recovered marijuana, for which he was additionally charged with Possession of Class D.
