At about 4:20pm, on Thursday, March 7, 2008, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) and Area D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a fight at the intersection of Melnea Cass Boulevard and Washington Street in Roxbury.On arrival, officers located a male, in his late 30’s, suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced. That victim has since been identified as Yiovany Gazmey, 37, of Boston.
Shortly after the incident, officers received information that the suspects had boarded an MBTA bus. Officers soon located the bus and apprehended a male and female suspect. Officers arrested Juan Ramirez, 25, of Boston and Aida Rodriguez, 29, of Boston. Ramirez was charged with Murder while Rodriquez was charged with Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
