On Thursday, March 7, 2008, at around 2:39pm, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan/Dorchester) received information that there were individuals acting suspiciously and, possibly, smoking marijuana inside a motor vehicle in the area of 15 Dunlap Street in Dorchester.On arrival, officers observed a red motor vehicle bearing the logo of the Boston Fire Department. While approaching the vehicle, officers were able to detect and smell a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the car. While speaking to the suspects, officers also observed bags of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.
As a result of these observations, officers arrested and charged all three occupants of the motor vehicle with the Possession of Class D Drugs (marijuana). Richard Jackson, 43, of Mattapan; Anthony Gaston, 47, of Dorchester and Andre Knox, 41, of Dorchester will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Monday.
