On Thursday, March 7, 2008, around 4:20pm, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) and District D-4 (Back Bay/South End) responded to a radio call for a fight at the intersection of Melnea Cass Blvd and Washington Street in Roxbury.Upon arrival, officers observed a male, in his late 30’s, with a stab wound being treated by EMS. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced. A female victim was also transported to Boston Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
After the incident, officers received information that the suspects had boarded an MBTA bus. A short time later, officers located the bus and apprehended a male and female suspect.
The individuals taken into custody were Juan Ramirez, 25, of Boston and Aida Rodriguez, 29, of Boston. Ramirez will be charged with Murder. Rodriquez will be charged with Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. Both suspects will be arraigned on Monday in Boston Municipal Court.
