APPREHENSION TEAM ARRESTS ONE, SEIZES A SHOTGUN & DRUGS At about 10:56am, on Thursday, February 21, 2008, officers from the Boston Police Fugitive Apprehension Team, in collaboration with the Massachusetts State Police, executed an arrest warrant in the area of 1105 Blue Hill Avenue. Officers approached the address, knocked on the door and announced that they were police officers. While waiting outside address, officers could hear people moving around the apartment. As a result, officers again knocked on the door, announced their presence and waited for someone to answer the door. When the occupants, again, refused to answer the door, officers forced their way into the apartment. Once inside, officers located several individuals, however, none of individuals present was the individual named in the arrest warrant. Additionally, officers observed, in plain view, an undisclosed amount of marijuana and crack cocaine. Further, officers also observed and seized a shotgun. One of the individuals stated that the gun and the drugs belonged to him. Officers arrested Wendell James Burton, 26, of Hyde Park and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Shotgun & Ammunition, Possession of Class D Drug (marijuana) and the Possession of a Class B Drug (cocaine).
