B&E SUSPECT ARRESTED IN EAST BOSTONAt about 3:58am, on Thursday, February 21, 2008, officers from Area A-7 (East Boston) responded to a radio call for a breaking & entering in progress at 459 Meridian Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the tenants on the first floor who stated that they could hear people moving about on the 2nd floor of the building. Witnesses further stated that both the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building were vacant. While on scene, officers could hear someone moving around on the 2nd floor. Officers began giving verbal commands instructing the individual to exit the premise. The individual was instructed to exit the building with his hands up. After giving the commands, officers heard an individual running down the rear stairs. After a short foot pursuit, officers arrested Jose Rodriguez, 38, of Revere and charged him with Unarmed Breaking & Entering (Nighttime).
NO FRONT LICENSE PLATE LANDS ONE IN POLICE CUSTODY
At about 10:26pm, on Tuesday, February 19, 2008, officers from Area E-5 (West Roxbury) observed a motor vehicle, missing a front license plate, traveling along Washington Street. Since the motor vehicle was missing its front license plate, officers activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) and stopped the car. While speaking to the operator of the motor vehicle, officers learned that the operator did not a valid driver’s license. Using the MDT (the computer inside the cruiser), officers were able to confirm that the operator’s license had been suspended. Officers arrested Nathaniel Richman, 20, of Lakeville and charged him with Operating After License Suspended.
PEEING IN PUBLIC LANDS ONE BEHIND BARS
At about 1:13am, on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan/Dorchester) were patrolling in the area of Blue Hill Avenue when officers observed a black male urinating in public. Given the high level of motorist traffic, officers stopped and approached the suspect. When asked about his decision to urinate in public, the suspect stated, ”I didn’t pee here. I’m waiting for the bus” Officers arrested Kevin Ramsey, 40, of Dorchester and charged him with Indecent Exposure.
