Warrant Suspect Arrested in “Dirty Laundry”Yesterday, Sunday, February 17, 2008, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park and Jamaica Plain) went to 56 Patten St. in Jamaica Plain to execute an arrest warrant for a wanted suspect.
On arrival, officers made a peaceful entry. The suspect initially could not be located but was eventually found hiding in a closet under a pile of dirty clothes. Suspect, Mackenson StFort, 25, of Jamaica Plain was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Threats to Commit Murder, Assault and Battery, and Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
Fighters Arrested for Damaging Property
At approximately 7:43pm last night, officers from District C-6 responded to a radio call for a disturbance at 322 Dorchester St. in South Boston.
There, officers met and spoke with the caller who reported hearing a commotion, and then looking outside to see two suspects fighting on top of his car. The suspects, during their battle, caused substantial damage to the caller’s car.
The suspect were located a short distance from the scene of the incident and placed under arrest. Suspects, Joseph M. Pano, 34 of Dorchester, and Sean P. Kineavy, 28, of Northampton were both arrested and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property.
Wild, and Raucous Patron Goes to Jail
Last night around 8:37pm, officers from District A-1 (Downtown and Charlestown) responded to a radio call for a fight in progress at 10 City Square in Charlestown.
There, officers spoke with victims/restaurant employees who reported that that a patron had assaulted them after trying to escort him out of the bar. The victims reported that the patron had caused a disturbance in the restaurant by starting fights with several patrons and urinating in the bar area. The victims reported after they were finally able to escort the suspect out of the bar, he became even more violent, struggling with employees and trying to bite them.
While on scene speaking to victims and witnesses, the suspect who had left the scene prior to police arrival, came back. Officers attempted to speak to the suspect and get his side of the story when he began to berate and insult them. The suspect continued his tirade against officers by threatening them, the restaurant employees, victims and other witnesses with loss of their employment, and a lawsuit.
After repeated attempts to de-escalate the suspect, he was placed under arrest. Suspect, Kevin Shaughnessy, 35, of Abington was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery, and Disorderly Conduct.
Prankster Goes to Jail
About 1:30am this morning, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to 252 West Newton St. in the South End/the Seven Eleven Store for a fight.
On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who reported that a suspect attempted to steal several items from the store and then fled into 261 West Newton Street. The victim further reported that he observed the suspect enter the store, then take several candy bars from the shelf and put them in his back pocket. The victim stated that he and his staff confronted the suspect about the stolen items before he left the store at which point he “went wild” and attempted to grab several other items. During this rampage, the suspect went behind the counter and removed several packages of cigars from the back counter. The suspect then fled the store shouting “Bye bye, all set!”
The victim directed officers to a nearby building where he had followed the suspect. The suspect, Joseph B. MacNeil, 19, of Boston, was found in that apartment building and placed under arrest and charged with Shoplifting, and Assault and Battery for fighting the shopkeepers.
