DAILY INCIDENTS FOR SUNDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2007

MAN WITH KNIFE ARRESTED IN ROXBURYAt about 1:59am, on Saturday, December 29, 2007, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a man with a knife in the area of 200 Blue Hill Avenue. On arrival, officers observed an individual swinging a knife at another individual. Upon seeing the officers, the suspect attempted to flee the scene. After a short foot pursuit, officers were able to subdue the suspect. Officers then arrested Ira Grayson, 22, of Chelsea and charged him with Assault By Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife) and Resisting Arrest. Officers also were able to recover the weapon used in the incident.
OVER THE LIMIT .. UNDER ARREST IN DORCHESTER
At about 4:58am, on Friday, December 28, 2007, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) were on patrol when they observed a motor vehicle fail to stop for a red light, and then, almost come into contact with another motor vehicle. As a result, officers activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) and stopped the motor vehicle. As officers were speaking to the operator of the motor vehicle, officers detected an odor of alcohol coming from the operator. Officers also noted that the operator’s speech was slurred and his eyes glassy. When asked if he’d been drinking, the operator replied, \”I had like 2 beers.” When asked if he knew what time it was, the operator stated, “I have no idea.” At his point, the operator was asked to exit the motor vehicle in order to perform a field sobriety test. After failing the exam, Ranko Sredovjivic, 27, of Cambridge was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence (Alcohol).
