SHOPLIFTERS ARRESTED IN DORCHESTERAt about 4:05pm, on Wednesday, December 26, 2007, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for shoplifting at the CVS Pharmacy at 703 Gallivan Boulelvard. On arrival, officers spoke to store employees who pointed towards a blue pick up leaving the store’s parking lot. According to store employees, the two occupants of the motor vehicle had just shoplifted merchandise from the store. As a result, officers activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) and stopped the suspects’ motor vehicle. After stopping the car, officers conducted a query of the operator’s license and registration. In doing so, officers learned that the operator of the car had no license. Officers arrested Lindsay Curley, 28, of West Bridgewater and charged her with Operating Without Being Licensed.
Officers then brought both suspects back to the CVS where they were positively identified. A search of the suspect’s motor vehicle enabled officers to recover items stolen from the store. Officers also arrested the passenger of the motor vehicle, Matthew Luddy, 25, of West Bridgewater and charged him with Shoplifting.
DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER ARRESTED IN WEST ROXBURY
At about 3:14pm, on Wednesday, December 27, 2007, officers from Area E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a fight inside the Hess gas station on Washington Street. On arrival, officers spoke to store employees who stated that a disgruntled customer walked into the store demanding to speak to the store manager. According to witnesses, when the store employees said that the store manager wasn’t available, the customer became even angrier. According to witnesses, the disgruntled customer then threw a cigarette display at store employees. Then, the suspect leapt over the counter, attacked and punched the person working behind the counter. The entire incident was captured on the store’s video surveillance cameras. Officers arrested Kevin Rickerson, 20, of West Roxbury and charged him with Assault & Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Destruction of Property.

At about 12:51am, on Wednesday, December 26, 2007, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) were called to the Store 24 on 157 Brighton Avenue for the report of a larceny in progress. On arrival, officers spoke to store employees who stated that three individuals entered the store, stole some items and left. Officers broadcast a description of the suspects over Channel 5 of the police radio. A short time later, officers located two individuals matching the description provided by the victims. As officers approached the suspects, the suspects ran into a McDonalds and hid inside the restaurant’s bathroom. The suspects were brought back to the Store 24 where they were positively identified with help from the store’s video surveillance camera. Officers arrested Robertson Daniel, 17, of Roslindale and Marquis Smith, 17, of Hyde Park and charged both with Shoplifting.
