DAILY INCIDENTS FOR WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 26, 2007

Public Drinking Arrest Leads to Drugs and a GunAbout 12:33am this morning, officers from District B-2 arrested suspect, Dominique Hines, 18, of Jamaica Plain and charged with Public Drinking, Possession of Class B, Possession of Class B with Intent to Distribute, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Resisting Arrest.
Officers’ attention initially was drawn to the suspect when they observed him drinking a beer in the area of 87 Howard Avenue. Officers exited their car to place the suspect under arrest for public drinking when he took off running. Officers pursued the suspect and while doing so observed the suspect clutching his waist as if armed. Officers gave suspect numerous orders to stop but the suspect kept running attempting to elude arrest. After a lengthy pursuit officers caught the suspect and placed him in handcuffs after a violent struggle.
Incident to a lawful arrest, officers searched the suspect and recovered a loaded semi-automatic handgun, and a plastic bag with numerous individually wrapped pieces of crack cocaine.
Shooting Incident at 203 Blue Hill Avenue
This morning at approximately 1:21am, offices from District B-2 responded to the area of 206Blue Hill Avenue based on the sound of gunshot detected by the ShotSpotter system.
On arrival, bystanders informed officers that there was a male lying on the ground suffering from a stab wound. The victim, a 22 year-ld male, was found on the sidewalk in front of 203 Blue Hill Ave. suffering from what appeared to be stab wound. Officers immediately requested an ambulance to the scene to treat the victim. While being treated on-scene, officers learned that the victim was suffering from a single gunshot wound and not a stab wound.
The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center via ambulance and once at the hospital was deemed to be in critical condition.
On scene, officers processed the scene and recovered one spent shell casing. Additionally, officers learned that the suspect may possibly be a light complexion black male wearing an orange jacket.
District B-2 and Homicide detectives are actively investigating this incident. Shooting Incident at 468 Columbia Road
About 4:05am today, officers from District B-2 responded to 468 Columbia Rd. for a person shot.
There, officers found the victim, a 16 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers spoke to witnesses on scene whom stated to officers that the victim had gone outside to take out the trash when he was shot, and ran back in the house.
