DAILY INCIDENTS FOR THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2007These Shoes Were Not Made for Walking Away
Last night, Wednesday, December 19, 2007 around 7:29pm, a detail officer performing a detail at 500 Geneva Ave. in Dorchester arrested Joel Montanez-Rivera, 20, of Dorchester and charged him with Shoplifting.
The officer was approached by Loss Prevention personnel who observed the suspect (on closed circuit television) take off his old pair of sneakers, remove some Timberland boots from a box, place his old sneakers in the box and put on the new pair of Timberland boots. The suspect then attempted to walk out of the store without paying for the boots. The suspect was stopped and placed under arrest.
Robbery Victim Lured by Promise of More “Fun” and Drinks
At approximately 1:49am today, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) responded to 114 London St. in East Boston for a crime in progress. Officers were further advised that three females and one male had taken a victim to that location and were going to rob him.
On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who reported that he had just been robbed. The victim reported that he was at Trainor’s Bar located in Maverick Street when he met the suspects. The suspect asked the victim if he had more money to buy drinks and if so whether they could go to his house and have more drinks. The victim reported that as he neared his house the male suspect reached into his pocket took his money and walked away with the three female suspects.
The officers stopped the suspects a short distance away where they recovered the stolen money and placed them under arrest. Suspects, Rhonda Dunn, 34, of East Boston, Jesus Santiago, 23, of East Boston, Nadyne M. Correale, 30, of Framingham, and Kimberly Capone, 20 of East Boston were arrested and charged with Unarmed Robbery.
B&E Suspects Arrested After Kicking In Door
This morning around 1:59am, officers from District D-14 responded to 22 Glenville Ave. in Allston for a breaking and entering in progress.
Officers arrived a short time later and observed a minivan parked in front of the dispatched location. The victims immediately walked out and identified the car as being occupied by the suspects. The car and its occupants were detained while officers spoke to the victims.
The victims reported that they had a few friends over when two uninvited individuals opened their door and walked in. One of the victims stated that she confronted the suspect but she was pushed to the side. Another victim attempted to intervene on behalf of the first victim and asked the suspects to leave when the suspects also assaulted him. A third suspect then entered their apartment yelling in a confrontational manner. The victims reported that one of their friends came over and after a while they were able to get the suspects out of the apartment, and locked their door. The victims reported that after getting the suspects out of the apartment, their apartment door was kicked in and they heard the suspect laughing and saying ”Yeah! We kicked in your door!” Officers observed damage to the door.
Officers then went outside, and further investigated the incident. Suspects, Joseph D. Bosse, 20, Anthony J. Smith, 20, Michael W. Bogner, 20 all from Milton were arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime, Malicious Destruction of Property, and Being Minors in Possession of Alcohol. A fourth occupant of the car, Michael Lannon, 20, of Milton was also arrested and charged with Being a Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
