About 2:43am this morning, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at 360 Saratoga St. in East Boston.On arrival, officers observed the victim inside an ambulance receiving medical attention from apparent stab wounds to the chest. The victim reported that he had gone to Chivas Restaurant located at the corner of Prescott St. and Bennington St. when he was approached by a group of Hispanic males who stated to him that they “. . . don’t want any Gringo here. . .” and to leave. The victim stated that he left and got in his car and drove to the Fire Station located at 360 Saratoga Street. The victim further reported that as he pulled up to the Fire Station he observed the same group of Hispanic males had followed him over to the Fire Station.
The victim reported that as he exited his car, he was assaulted by the same group of Hispanic males, only realizing that he had been stabbed after the assault. The victim immediately rang the doorbell to the Fire Station and EMTs were requested to his location while he was rendered assistance by fellow firefighters. EMTs responded and transported the victim to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No suspects could be located in the area, and the incident remains under investigation by Boston Police District A-7 detectives and Community Disorder Unit detectives.
