THREE JUVENILES IN CUSTODY AFTER ROBBERY ATTEMPTAt about 6:48pm, on Wednesday, November 14, 2007, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) were flagged down by an individual in the area of Dorchester Avenue and Faulkner Street. According to the individual, three young black males had just attempted to rob him with a gun. The victim stated that he was walking home from the train station when he observed three black males approaching him. Two of the suspects walked past him, but the third stopped in front of him, reached into his pocket and pulled out a firearm. At this point, the suspect pointed the gun at the victim and demanded money. The victim, however, ignored the suspect and kept on walking. Officers placed the victim in the rear of a marked Boston Police cruiser and began to search the area for the suspects. As officers were driving on Ditson Street, the victim said, “There they go.\” Officers stopped and apprehended the suspects. A search of the immediate area produced a black cap gun.
Officers arrested a 13 year-old, a 14 year-old and an 11 year-old all from Dorchester and charged them Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Gun), Attempted Robbery, and Unlawful Possession of Alcoholic Beverages.
MAJOR DRUG ARREST LANDS THREE IN CUSTODY
At about 6:10pm, on Wednesday, November 14, 2007, officers assigned to the Area C Neighborhood Drug Unit observed the passengers of a motor vehicle acting suspiciously near the CVS in the area of 715 Morrissey Boulevard. Officers observed the motor vehicle circling the establishment. Officers also observed an individual enter the car, only to exit the car in the rear of the building. Officers also observed the individual, who had just exited the car, holding a suspicious object in his left hand. Believing a drug transaction had just transpired, officers decided to approach the individual. When officers asked the individual what was in the bag, the suspect replied, “Ecstasy.” Officers then seized a large plastic bag filled with a large number of purple-colored pills (940 in total). Officers then stopped the motor vehicle involved in the transaction. After stopping the motor vehicle, officers recovered two large bags filled with pink-colored pills (1,985 in total).
Officers arrested Phuc Le, 19, of Malden, Long Nguyen, 24, of Dorchester, Phuong Huynh, 38, of Dorchester and charged all three with Trafficking Class B Drugs (Ecstasy) and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Laws.
