Two Arrest After Discarding Firearm Out of Moving VehicleEarly Saturday morning around 2:37am, Officers from District C-11 responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of 1 Annapolis Street. As officers were looking for ballistic evidence they observed a blue pick-up truck traveling in the wrong direction on Sumner Street. Officers further observed the truck make a left turn onto Willis Street which is a one way, operating in the wrong direction.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle attempted to accelerate away from officers taking a left onto Dawes Street, turning right onto East Cottage, and then turning onto Pleasant Street to Hinckley Street. At that time officers observed a silver colored firearm be discarded out the driver’s window. The vehicle continued finally coming to a stop after sticking a street sign on Sumner Street. Both suspect fled out of the car and ran up Willis Street and turned onto Dawes. Officers were able to apprehend the first suspect. The second suspect was observed running into the rear yard of 23 Dawes Street. The suspect was located hiding under the rear porch of 11 Dawes Street.
While officers were establishing a perimeter the victim who stated that the occupants of the motor vehicle attempted to rob him approached them. The victim stated while walking home the suspect’s motor vehicle pulled up to him at the corner of Sumner and Annabel Streets. The victim stated that the driver exited the vehicle and grabbed him by his jacket and stated, “Give me what you got”. The victim stated that he told both suspects that they were messing with the wrong guy and to leave. The victim stated that the first suspect order the other suspect back to vehicle to get the firearm. The victim stated that the second suspect returned with the gun tucked in his waistband and that he could observe the handle of the firearm. At this time, the victim removed his belt and began to defend himself by sticking both suspects with the belt. The victim stated a struggle ensued and the first suspect produced a razor lunged at him striking him on the thumb causing a laceration. The victim was treated at the scene.
Vasco Dossantos, 19 of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Intent to Rob While Armed, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Claudino Correia, 20, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Intent to Rob While Armed, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon and Failure to Stop for a Police Officer. Officers located the firearm on the pavement where the suspect was observed discarding it.

Yesterday at 12:50pm in the afternoon, officers from District E-13 responded to a radio call for shoplifters in custody in the Stop and Shop at 301 Centre Street. On arrival officer’s spoke with store security officer who stated that he has two shoplifters in custody. He further stated that he observed the two suspects on closed circuit cameras filling a shopping card with two-trash bags in it. The suspects were taking items off the shelves and filling the trash bags wile inside the carriage. The security officer further stated that the suspects then removed the trash bags from the cart and placed them in their own rolling dolly-style cart. One of the suspects used her coat to conceal one bag of merchandise and the other used her sweater to conceal the other bag. The security officer stated that the two suspects walked to the front of the store with their concealed merchandise, stopped at the register area and put more merchandise from the register area into their back packs and pockets and proceeded towards the exit. The security officer stated he stopped the suspects before they could leave the store with the merchandise. Two Roxbury residents, Christina Little, 31and Tina Mattson, 20 were both arrested and charged with Shoplifting.
Three Arrested For Disorderly
Early this morning at 3:41am, officers from District A-1 responded to a radio call for a fight at 15 Edinboro Street. On arrival, officers observed an extremely large crowd outside of the Moon Villa Restaurant. There appeared to be several arguments and fights breaking out all around the officers. Officers attempted to give commands to clear the area and to stop the fighting. An unknown female alerted officers that a fight was getting bad inside the restaurant. When officers entered the scene plates and chairs where being thrown around and food was flying through the air and people where being pushed.
Additional units began to arrive and officers gave commands for everyone to clear the area. Officers attempted for the third time to command everyone to stop fighting and clear the area or are subject to arrest. Most of the crowd started to disperse and clear the area. Then a small group of about three to five males started fighting. Yves Montissol, 44, of Spring Valley, New York; Daniel Appolon, 20, of Quincy and Shomari Castle, 21, of Boston were all arrested and charged with Disorderly.
