Luk Oil Gas Recovered in Case of Mistaken Delivery
Early this morning at 1:30am, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) responded to 331 Bennington Street (Luk Oil Gas Company) for a possible larceny. On arrival, officers spoke with a gas attendant who stated that he heard the low fuel alarm sounding at about 8:50pm on Tuesday night. The attendant stated that moments before, he observed the tanker truck being driven by an unknown person to the rear of the gas station, as if to refuel the tanks. The attendant did not think that any suspicious activity was taking place since there was “Luk Oil Gas Co.” logo on the truck. The meter reading just before the suspected truck fueled up was thirty-two inches but moments later it read only one inch. The caller stated that the truck removed approximately sixty eight hundred gallons of premium gas. Further investigation revealed that the gas had been mistakenly delivered to Luk Oil Gas and the said truck had simply come to collect it.
