DAILY INCIDENTS FOR TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2007

MAN WITH KNIFE ARRESTED IN HYDE PARKAt about 3:37pm, on Monday, October 22, 2007, officers from Area E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for a person with a knife in the area of Hyde Park Avenue. While en route to the call, officers received a description of the suspect over Channel 4 of the police radio. Officers soon located an individual matching the description. As officers were approaching the suspect, the suspect immediately reversed his direction. Officers further noted that the suspect appeared to be very nervous. A search of the suspect produced a knife. Officers arrested a 15 year-old male from Hyde Park and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
CAR STOPS LEADS TO ONE ARREST IN MISSION HILL
At about 12:36pm, on Monday, October 22, 2007, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) were on patrol when they observed a black motor vehicle fail to stop for a red light at the intersection of Tremont and Terrace Streets. Officers activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) and stopped the car. A check of the motor vehicle’s registration through the cruiser’s mobile data terminal (computer inside the police cruiser) showed the motor vehicle to have an expired registration. Moreover, the operator’s license to operate a motor vehicle was expired. While officers were speaking to the operator of the motor vehicle, officers noticed a number of items in the rear seat of the motor vehicle. Officers observed several electronic devices including: a flat screen television, a Sony XBOX and a Comcast cable box. When asked about the items, the suspect replied, “I’m moving to Mission Hill to Cherokee Street .. no .. I mean Iroquois Street.” Officers also found a wallet, not belonging to the suspect, inside the motor vehicle. Furthermore, a search of the suspect produced an undisclosed amount of money, several items of jewelry and a small amount of marijuana. When asked about the money and the jewelry, the suspect could not explain how he got them. Officers arrested Ellis Core, 53, of Roxbury and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle without Being Licensed, Operating an Unregistered/Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Class D Drug (Marijuana), Receiving Stolen Property and Larceny (over $250).
MAN ARRESTED FOR BREAKING & ENTERING IN ROXBURY
At about 5:40am, on Tuesday, October 23, 2007, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) received a radio call for a breaking and entering in progress at 34 Annunciation Road. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that there was a strange man in her house. According to the victim, the man was breaking things throughout her apartment. Upon entering the apartment, officers observed several items smashed and strewn about the living area. Officers then heard noises coming from the rear of the apartment. Officers located an individual sweating profusely and rambling in his manner of speech. According to the victim, the individual knocked on her door. When she opened the door, the suspect pushed by her, asked where his drugs were located and, then, began smashing objects. The victim says she opened the door because she mistook the suspect for someone she knew. Officers arrested Kenneth Woolley, 56, of Roxbury and charged him with Breaking & Entering (Nighttime), Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property and Assault & Battery.
