Shooting Incident At 140 Harvard Street

On Monday, October 22, 2007 at 11:50am, officers from District B3 (Mattapan/Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person shot at 140 Harvard Street in Dorchester.Upon arrival, officers observed the victim lying on the sidewalk and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Witnesses stated that they heard several gunshots. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center where he is currently listed in critical condition.
Boston Police have information that the suspect was a black male dressed in black pants, a black dress shirt and wearing a memorial button on his shirt. The suspect fled on foot up Bicknell Street towards Bradshaw Street.
The homicide unit is currently conducting interviews and reviewing crime scene evidence. The facts and circumstances surrounding this incident are under active investigation.
