DAILY INCIDENTS FOR THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2007

TASER GUN SEIZED IN ROXBURYAt about 5:38pm, on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, members of the Area B-2 (Roxbury) Beat Team observed three black males, sitting in Mt. Pleasant Park, drinking from open containers of alcohol. Officers approached the suspects and asked if anyone was carrying any weapons. One of the suspects stated, “I have a knife and a taser.” A search of the suspect produced a black taser gun. Officers arrested Lester James Davis, 32, of Dorchester and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.
CIGARETTE THIEF WANTED IN ROXBURY
At about 9:24pm, on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a shoplifting incident at 122 Seaver Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the owner of the store who stated that an individual entered his store, asked for two packs of cigarettes and then handed him an EBT card. When the clerk turned to swipe the card, the suspect ran out of the store. Moments later, the same suspect re-entered the store and demanded that the clerk return his EBT card. When the clerk refused, the suspect reached up and ripped down the overhead cigarette rack, knocking numerous packs of cigarettes to the floor. At this point, the suspect scooped up several packs of cigarettes and fled the store on foot. Officers secured a copy of the store’s video surveillance tape. Area B-2 Detectives are currently investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Area B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.
UNARMED ROBBERY LANDS TWO IN CUSTODY
At about 1:59am, on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, officers from Area A-7 (East Boston) were on patrol in the area of Meridian and Condor Streets when they observed an individual suffering from what appeared to be a facial injury. When officers spoke to the individual, the individual stated that he had been jumped and robbed by three white males. According to the victim, the suspects knocked him to the ground and began kicking him. The victim further stated that the suspects stole his wallet, money, cell phone and jewelry. While still on scene, two white males were observed walking on the other side of the street. When the victim saw the individuals, the victim stated, “I think those are the guys.” Officers approached the suspects and questioned them about the incident. A search of the suspects revealed that both were in possession of items belonging to the victim. Officers arrested a 16 year-old from Chelsea and a 16 year-old from Revere and charged both with Unarmed Robbery.
