DAILY INCIDENTS FOR MONDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2007

HIT & RUN SUSPECT ARRESTED IN DORCHESTERAt about 12:12am, on Sunday, September 30, 2007, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a pedestrian struck at the intersection of Morrissey Boulevard and Victory Road. According to witnesses, they observed a black motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed down Victory Road. Witnesses further stated that they observed the motor vehicle strike the victim and, then, continue driving down the road. After being struck, the victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Not far from the incident, officers located a motor vehicle matching the description of the one that struck the victim. The motor vehicle, a black Audi station wagon, was found unoccupied with the engine still running. Officers further observed damage to the motor vehicle’s front end and a smashed front windshield. A short time later, an individual approached an officer and stated, “I hit somebody.” The individual making the confession was the owner of the black Audi. Officers arrested Bobby Renteria, 22, of Dedham and charged him with Driving to Endanger and Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Personal Injury.
MAN WITH KNIFE ARRESTED DOWNTOWN
At about 1:50am, on Sunday, September 30, 2007, officers from Area A-1 (Downtown) were on patrol in the area of 100 Warrenton Street when they heard an individual yell, “He tried to stab me with a knife.” Officers spoke to the victim who, while pointing at the suspect, stated, “This guy tried to stab me.” Officers also spoke to witnesses who were able to verify the victim’s story. A search of the suspect produced a locking-blade knife. Officers arrested Antwan Lawson, 31, of Mattapan and charged him with Assault By Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
BREAKING & ENTERING LANDS THREE IN CUSTODY
At about 6:56pm, on Sunday, September 30, 2007, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering at 6 Moreland Street. On arrival, officers observed an individual exiting the back door of the above location. When the individual saw police, he immediately began to run. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended. Officers located two additional suspects inside the hallway of the location. Officers spoke to the victim who positively identified all three individuals. According to the victim, after breaking into his apartment, one of the suspects shot him in the arm with a BB gun. Officers arrested Anderson Felix, 19, of Brockton, Dwayne Stoley, 25, of Roxbury, Hasson Swanigan, 17, of Roxbury and charged all three with Armed Breaking & Entering of a Dwelling.
