Three Arrested on Firearm ChargesLast night at 10:57pm, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force were on patrol on McClellan Street when they observed an unknown male in the driveway of 32 McClellan Street bending down next to several parked vehicles. As the unknown male came out of the driveway, officers approached him to conduct a field interrogation. Officers immediately detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the suspect. Officers noticed the suspect was very nervous and breathing heavily. Officer approached the area where the individual was bending down and could detect a strong odor of marijuana emanating from one of the parked vehicles. As officers approached the vehicle they observed five unknown individuals inside the motor vehicle.
Officers ordered all the occupants to exit the motor vehicle for further investigation. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle for more evidence of marijuana. An officer observed a shirt tucked underneath the backseat on the floor directly behind the driver’s seat. The officer reached and grabbed the shirt and immediately felt a hard object wrapped inside the shirt. As the officer opened the shirt he observed the barrel of a firearm.
Demetrin Dabney, 19, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Sawed Off Shotgun.
Carlos Celestino, 17, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Sawed Off Shotgun, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D within a 1000’ft of a School zone and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D.
A 16-year-old juvenile male from Dorchester was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Class D, Possession with Intent to Distribute class D and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B within 1,000 feet of a School Zone
Officers recovered the firearm and drugs from the suspects.
Suspect Arrested After Armed Robbery
This morning at 12:20am, officers from District B-2 responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 624 Warren Street. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that he stopped at the 24/7 Store after work. The victim stated when he got off his bike to go into the store a camera fell from his backpack. When the victim went to pick it up the camera the suspect stated, “Leave it.” As the victim reached down to grab the camera the suspect displayed a handgun. The victim fled the scene and called police.
The victim positively identified the suspect. Samuel Taylor, 20, of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery. Officers were able to recover the victim’s camera. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the firearm.
Operation Squeeze Nets Six
From approximately 6:00am to 7:30am on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, Area B-2 (Roxbury) officers conducted “Operation Squeeze” in response to numerous complaints of prostitution activity along the Blue Hill Avenue corridor.
The following individuals were arrested after soliciting Sex for a Fee to undercover officers: Denika Richardson, 37, of Mattapan, Joanna Hernandez, 30, of Roxbury, Doris Aquino, 43, of Roxbury, Linda Wynn, 53, of Boston, Tonya Williams 40, of Boston and Laurie Ralphs, 45, of Boston.
