DAILY INCIDENTS FOR SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2007

ARMED ROBBERY IN BRIGHTONAt about 10:50am, on Saturday, September 22, 2007, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 276 N. Beacon Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that a black male pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The victim also told officers that the male suspect was in the company of a female suspect. According to the victim, the suspects then entered a U-Haul truck and sped off.
Boston Police are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to contact Area D-14 detectives at 617.343.4256.

GUN RECOVERED IN ROXBURY
At about 5:15pm, on Saturday, September 22, 2007, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) were in the area of Lawrence Avenue looking for a motor vehicle wanted in connection with an earlier report. According to the earlier report, an individual was seen placing a firearm in the trunk of the aforementioned motor vehicle. A few minutes later, officers located the motor vehicle in question and conducted a motor vehicle stop. During a search of the motor vehicle officers did recover a semiautomatic firearm. Officers then asked the occupants of the motor vehicle if either was in possession of a license to carry firearms. To which, both individuals replied, \”No.\” Officers then arrested Montrez Holman, 18, of Roxbury and Sheldon Jefferson, 18, of Dorchester and charged both with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

At about 3:30am, on Sunday, September 23, 2007, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a fight at 15 Pratt Street. On arrival, officers observed a small group gathered in the middle of the street. Officers spoke to the victim who stated that an individual, after being dared, jumped into the seat of a steamroller, started it up and, then, drove it into his car. Officers observed minor damage to the bumper of the victim’s car. When speaking to the suspect, officers observed that it appeared the suspect was under the influence of alcohol. Officers arrested Matthew Gilman, 22, of Allston and charged him with the Destruction of Personal Property and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle.
