Suspect Arrested After Trying To Steal CopperYesterday at 12:25pm, officers from District D-4 responded to a radio call for a braking and entering in progress at 285 Columbus Avenue. On arrival, officers spoke with the caller who stated he was going into the office to pick up some papers from his desk, when he heard a noise coming from the second floor. The caller proceeded to the second floor where he saw the suspect picking up copper wire.
Officers cleared the first floor and proceeded to the second floor and observed the suspect wearing a yellow hard hat walking around. Officers identified themselves and the suspect immediately began to running for the second floor window. The suspect jumped up onto the ledge of an open window and attempted to climb down the exterior scaffolding. Officers grabbed the suspects t-shirt but the suspect was able to free himself and began climbing down.
Harry Boutin, 66, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering and Destruction or Injury of Personal Property.
Loud Party Ends In Arrest
Last night at 11:23pm, officers from District D-14 responded to a radio call for a loud party at 30 Ashford Street. On arrival, officers observed a group of people sitting and standing on the front lawn. The group was asked to leave the premise and did so without incident. The front door of the house was open and officers could hear music and loud voices coming from the first floor. Officers entered the apartment and observed about forty people inside drinking from large red plastic cups. Officers asked who lived in the apartment and requested identification.
Officers observed a keg of Budweiser beer in a large cooler filled with ice. The officers inquired where the keg was purchased and by whom. Both suspect were under the age of 21, and both refused to answer and was uncooperative.
Adam Churey and Shane Trout, both 20 of Allston were arrested and charged with Keeper Of A Disorderly House and Possession of Alcoholic Beverages by Persons Under 21.
Two Arrested For Tagging in South Boston
This morning at 3:30am, officers from District C-6 responded to a radio call for two white males spray-painting the walls on Alger Street. On arrival, officers observed a backpack containing four cans of spray pant as well as paint stencils. Officers smelled the odor of fresh in the air. Officers also observed various spray paint makings covering the walls of the building at 39 Damrell Street.
The caller stated that he heard what appeared to be a can of spray paint being shaken, he stated when he looked out of the window he observed the suspects spray painting the walls. Officers also observed that the suspect’s hands were covered with spray paint.
Benjamin White, 22 of Bangor, ME and Seth Hayward, 22,of Holden, ME were both arrested and charged with Destruction or Injury of Personal Property and Damage to Property by Graffiti/Tagging
