Armed Robbery of BusinessYesterday at 3:00pm, officers from District C-6 responded to a radio call for two masked men with guns at 985 Massachusetts Avenue. Officers were informed that the suspects fled in the direction of Allerton Street on foot. The manager stated he followed the suspect down the Rusfield Street onto Allerton Street in the direction of Gerard Street where he saw the light skinned suspect take off his gray shirt and flee in a white sleeveless t-shirt. Witnesses stated they saw one of the suspects down the street. The witnesses led the officers to Southampton Street and Atkinson Street was they pointed out the suspect. The suspect was wearing a white sleeveless t-shirt and blue jeans as he walked on Atkinson Street where officers stopped him. The suspect was positively idenfied by the witnesses.
The manager stated that two men one light skinned wearing a black nylon cloth wrapped around his head and a grey shirt and blue jeans and the other a dark skinned man with his head covered the same way in a blue shirt and blue jeans came into the store brandishing a handgun and made everyone get down on the floor. They were yelling get down on the floor and no cell phones. The suspect demanded cash and fled.
Daniel Jones, 34, of Clinton was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery and Dangerous Weapons Unlawfully Carried. The second suspect is still at large.
Three Juveniles Charged With Breaking and Entering
Yesterday at 4:11pm, officers from District D-4 responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in progress on Chandler Street. Officers were informed that the caller was holding one of the suspects at the scene. On arrival, officers spoke with the caller who stated that when he came home and entered his apartment and observed a white female holding his Nintendo Wii video game console. The caller heard two others run from the kitchen, out the window and down the fire escape out to Lawrence Street. The rear window was open and the screen was removed. Officers recovered an Apple Ipod Docking Station and cell phone at rear entrance of the fire escape.
Officers searched the area around chandler Street and located the second suspect in the alleyway. At about 6:10pm, officers observed the first suspect standing on Tremont Street. A 12-year-old juvenile female from Boston, 15-year-old juvenile male from the South End and 12-year-old male from Boston were arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering and Larceny. Officers were able to recover the victim items.
Man Stabbed Downtown
Last night at 8:32pm, officers from District A-1 responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at 61 Beach Street. Officers responded to Boston Medical Center to locate the victim. Officers were advised that the victim, a 41-year-old male sustained a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim is in serious condition.
