Armed Robbery of Forest Hills Check Cashing

Today, August 28, 2007, at approximately 9:22am, officers from District 18 responded to a call for an armed robbery in progress at 3720 Washington in Jamaica Plain, Forest hills Check Cashing.On arrival officers spoke to three victims of the robbery. The first victim reported to officers that the first suspect #1 (black male, 25-30 years old, medium to light complexion, about 6’3”, heavy build about 250 lbs, wearing a black and white baseball cap, metal framed glasses, black t-shirt, and Timberland jeans) walked into the store while the victim was working alone in the store. According to the victim, the suspect was asking a series of questions about making a transaction when another teller returned to the store. As the second teller entered the security code to enter the cashier counter area, the suspect grabbed the door, pulled it open and pointed a firearm at both tellers and threatened them. The suspect then entered the cashier counter area and forced both victims into a bathroom, and took one of their cell phones. The first suspect then opened the door and let in another suspect #2 (black male, dark complexion, groomed beard, 28-33 years old, about 5’7”, medium build, wearing a black t-shirt with white letters, and off-white colored shorts). The suspect then pointed the firearm at the victims and demanded that they open the safe. One of the victims opened the safe and the suspects removed an undetermined amount of cash from the safe. While the suspects were removing the money from the safe, another employee entered and was also taken to the bathroom at gunpoint after his cell phone was taken.
The suspects then fled the store in an unknown direction. It should be noted that the suspects locked the victims in the bathroom prior to leaving
