SAFE STREET TEAM ARRESTS ALLEGED DRUG DEALER IN DORCHESTERLast night at 10:11pm, officers assigned to the Codman Square Safe Street Team observed a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. Officers attempted to pull over the driver, who continued to drive the vehicle without slowing down or stopping. As the driver approached another stop sign, he abruptly turned left without signaling and pulled over.
As the driver was ordered out of the vehicle, an officer observed a green leafy substance in the door handle cavity. Believing the substance to be marijuana, officers executed a search of the vehicle, yielding in the finding of more narcotics, a digital scale, and sizable amount of cash. Raymond Cheek III, 21, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class B, Possession of a Class D, and Possession of a Class D with Intent to Distribute within 1,000’ of a School Zone.
STRIPPED VEHICLE LEAVES THREE IN JAIL
Last night around 10:25pm, officers from District B-2 observed four males standing around a vehicle with the hood up, on three tires, and with no license plate. Officers also observed various tools lying on the ground around the vehicle. When the individuals made eye contact with the officers, they dropped the tools and fled on foot.
One of the suspects ran through a driveway and over a fence towards Washington Stree while the other three ran together behind a house on Thornton Street. Officers were able to locate and apprehend the three suspects. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen.
Jean Auguste, 17, of Mattapan, Omar Mack, 23, of Roxbury and Jonathan Simon, 19, of Hyde Park were arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle, Buying, Receiving or Concealing Stolen Goods, Destruction or Injury of Personal Property and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
