THREE ROBBERS ARRESTED IN DORCHESTERAt about 6:38pm, on Monday, August 13, 2007, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person with a gun in the area of Dorchester Avenue and Gallivan Boulevard. On arrival, officers spoke to the victims who stated three black males approached them and demanded all of their money. According to the victims, one of the suspects, gesturing as if he had a firearm, said to the victims, ”Don’t make me pull the hammer on you.” After taking the victim’s money, the suspects fled the area. A short time later, officers located three individuals fitting the descriptions provided by the victims. A witness to the robbery followed the suspects and phoned in their location. After the suspects were positively identified by the victims, officers arrested a 16 year-old male from Dorchester, a 14 year-old male from Dorchester and a 16 year-old male from Weymouth and charged all three with Armed Robbery.
TWO ARRESTED FOR FARE EVASION
At about 11:40am, on Monday, August 13, 2007, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a fight at 907 Blue Hill Avenue. On arrival, officers observed the victim, a cab driver, getting beat up by two females. After separating the combatants, officers spoke to the victim who stated the two suspects, passengers in his cab, began beating him up after they refused to pay the fare. According to the cab driver, when he stopped his cab, the suspects attempted to flee his cab. When he confronted them, the attack began. According to the cab driver, he was knocked to the ground, punched, kicked, bitten and scratched. Officers arrested Mercedes Terrell-Suttles, 17, of Boston and Lakitha Cousin, 18, of Mattapan and charged both with Assault & Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon (foot) and Unarmed Robbery.
STOLEN GPS DEVICE LANDS ONE IN CUSTODY
At about 2:30pm, on Monday, August 13, 2007, an officer, performing a paid detail in the area of Columbia Road and Jerome Street, was approached by an individual stating that he had just been robbed. According to the victim, he was in the process of delivering a mattress when the suspect entered his truck and stole his GPS locator device. According to the victim, he then confronted the suspect, but when he did, the suspect punched him in the mouth and ran. A description of the suspect was broadcast over the police radio. Officers soon located an individual fitting the description provided by the suspect. Officers arrested Kenyatta Lindsey, 23, of Dorchester and charged him Armed Robbery, Assault & Battery and Larceny from a Motor Vehicle.
