GUN ARREST MADE IN ROXBURYAt about 9:49pm, on Saturday, August 11, 2007, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) observed a motor vehicle make an illegal left turn at the intersection of Dudley and Mount Pleasant Streets. As a result, officers activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) and stopped the motor vehicle. Officers were speaking with the operator of the motor vehicle when officers observed what appeared to be a blunt cigar (a form of marijuana) in plain view on the center console. To further investigate the presence of marijuana, officers asked all passengers to exit the motor vehicle. While searching the passengers, officers recovered a black revolver. Officers arrested Robert Thompson, 18, of Jamaica Plain, and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm & Ammunition.
CAR STOP LEADS TO GUN ARREST
At about 10:26pm, on Saturday, August 11, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) observed a motor vehicle fail to stop for a red light at the intersection of Dudley and Magazine Streets. As a result, officers activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) and stopped the motor vehicle. While speaking to the operator of the car, officers smelled what appeared to be a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the motor vehicle. In addition to the smell of marijuana, officers observed several partially smoked cigarettes (commonly referred to as blunts) in the ashtray. While speaking to the operator, officers also observed the rear seat passenger making furtive movements. Fearing the individual may have been armed, officers asked the individual to exit the motor vehicle. Officers then searched the motor vehicle and recovered several plastic bags of marijuana and a firearm. Officers arrested Tyrone Seams, 21, of Dorchester, Richard Clark, 23, of Roxbury and Kennesha Sales, 21, of Roxbury and charged all three with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm & Ammunition.
BOTTLE TOSSER ARRESTED IN BRIGHTON
At about 11:14pm, on Saturday, August 11, 2007, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a loud party at 200 Lake Street. On arrival, officers were approached by an individual who stated that he had just been attacked by a group of kids who had been drinking and making noise in an area behind the International School of Language. According to the victim, a white male, wearing a white Celtics shirt, threw a beer bottle at him that struck the victim in the head. The victim refused medical attention.
Approximately forty-five minutes later, officers responded to a radio call for a fight in the area of 505 Washington Street. On arrival, officers observed the victim from the above incident holding an individual that fit the description of the suspect that threw the bottle at him. Officers arrested Michael Madison, 17, of Brighton and charged him with Assault & Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon (bottle).
