SIX ARRESTED FOR BEING DISORDERLY IN MATTAPANAt about 1:30am, on Monday, August 6, 2007, plain-clothes officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan/Dorchester) were conducting a license premise check at Kay’s Oasis Night Club at 1125 Blue Hill Avenue. While conducting the inspection, officers observed approximately 200 patrons inside the establishment. During the course of the inspection, one of the patrons continued to badger and bother the officers. When the officers identified themselves as police officers, the individual stated, ”I don’t care.” At this point, officers attempted to escort the individual from the premise. As they were doing so, a second individual aggressively approached the officers. When officers identified themselves to the second individual, this individual stated, “I don’t give a (expletive) if you are a cop.” At this time, a number of other individuals began pushing and shoving the police officers. As a result, officers arrested Telly Almond, 31, of Dorchester, Brian Robinson, 29, of Dorchester, Keon Taylor, 31, of Dorchester, Jamaal Johnson, 21, of Dorchester and Shayon Martin, 28, of Dorchester and charged all five with Assault & Battery on a Police Officer, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.
In addition to the above, a sixth suspect, Trevor Harrigan, 39, of Mattapan, was arrested outside the establishment. Harrigan was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Assault on a Police Officer.
