Suspect Arrested with False PrescriptionLast night at 4:07pm, officers from District E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to a radio call about a female attempting to pass a false prescription at the Walgreen’s on Centre Street. Upon arrival, officers met with the pharmacy manager who reported that the suspect has been calling in several false prescriptions for various painkiller medications in the past month, often posing as a doctor or doctor’s representative. The suspect has reportedly been changing the patient’s name on each prescription, as well as her hair color in an attempt to avoid being discovered. The suspect was currently in the store attempting to pick up more medication. Officers arrested Michele Gleeson, 58, of West Roxbury and charged her with Uttering or Publishing False Writings.
Road Rage
Last at 5:57pm, officers from District B-2 responded to a radio call for a female that had been threatened with a firearm. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that while driving her vehicle on Elmwood Street she approached the intersection of Malcolm X Boulevard. The traffic was stopped at which time she attempted to merge into the flow of traffic. The victim attempted to get in front of the suspect’s vehicle only to have the suspect block her car. The victim stated a verbal exchanged took place between her and the suspect, during which the suspect exited his vehicle and displayed a small knife in a threatening manner.
Upon seeing a male passenger in the victim’s car, turned back towards his vehicle, reached inside and displayed a firearm. A broadcast was made and about 20 minutes later officers observed the suspects empty vehicle parked unoccupied at the corner of Roxbury Street and Washington Street. Officers stopped the suspect who was known to them. At that time the suspect walked away from officers and was observed entering his vehicle. Upon seeing officers approaching, the suspect started the vehicle and fled at a high rate of speed. Officers were searching the area when a call was received that the suspect’s vehicle was abandoned at 333 Warren Street. Officers were informed that the suspect ducked out of the car clutching his waist and ran into a nearby shopping plaza. Officers immediately established a perimeter around the surrounding area. A thorough search utilizing a canine officer produced no suspect.
Three Arrested for Trespassing
Last night at 10:21pm, officers from District B-2 respond to a radio call for four men with firearms at 73 Weaver Way. As officers approached the building, the suspects ran down a footpath to Slayton Way and straight into the long arms of the law. Jerren Brown, 25, of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Trespassing and Possession of Class D with intent to Distribute. Two Roxbury juveniles both 16-year-old males were arrested and charged with Trespassing. Officers did recover one large bag of marijuana.
Person Shot on Hammond Street
This morning at 2:44am, officers from District D-4 responded to a radio call for a shooting at 30 Hammond Street. On arrival, officers observed the victim standing in the street. The victim was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center and is in stable condition.
