On Tuesday, June 5, 2007 around 11:23pm, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to 10 Monson St. for a person down. On arrival, officers observed the victim lying on the sidewalk in front of 7 Monson St. suffering from an apparent assault, bleeding from the head and in an unconscious state. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center by ambulance for further treatment and evaluation of his injuries. Today, the victim passed away while receiving treatment for his injuries at the hospital.The victim has been identified as Michael Hansbury, 41, of Mattapan. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death. Boston Police detectives are actively investigating this incident.
