Five Suspect Arrested for Unarmed RobberyLast night at 9:30pm, officers from District 4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress at Beacon and Dartmouth Streets. A description of the suspects was broadcasted of a group of black males wearing white t-shirts had just robbed a victim and fled on bicycles down Beacon Street. The victim’s stated that they were walking near the Longfellow Bridge when a group of males on bikes approached them and demanded the victim’s property. Officers observed a group fitting the description heading down Massachusetts Avenue towards Symphony Hall at a high rate of speed. One of the suspects turned around and observed the officers and began to pedal faster. Julian Rogers, 19, of Dorchester; William Washington, 17, of Roxbury; Jonathan Rogers, 22, of Dorchester; Kyle Sprinkle, 19, of Roxbury and a 16-year-old juvenile male of Roxbury were arrested and charged with Unarmed Robbery and Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon. Police recovered the victims’ property.
Drinking in Public Leads to Gun Arrest
Last night at 10:47pm, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force were on patrol in the area of 57 Fairmount Street when the observed a large group of males and females in the street, on the sidewalk and in the yard drinking beer. Further investigation revealed that none of the individuals owned, rented or resided at 57 Fairmount Street. Alpha Kamara, 20, of Milton was arrested and charged with unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Firearm with Altered Serial Numbers and Possession of Class D. Evans Timouche, 19, of Dorchester and Jerome Stephens, 20, of Belmont was arrested and charged with Drinking Alcoholic Beverages in Public and Possession of Alcoholic Beverages by person Under 21. Ian Harding, 21, of Medford was arrested and charged with Drinking Alcoholic Beverages in Public. Myrtha Pierre, 19, of Mattapan was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Firearm with Altered Serial Numbers and Drinking Alcoholic Beverages in Public. A firearm was recovered.
