DAILY INCIDENTS FOR APRIL 28, 2007

STABBING VICTIM ID’s HIS SUSPECTAt about 2:05am, on Saturday, April 28, 2007, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed with a knife on South Market Street. On arrival, officers observed a large crowd behaving in a disorderly manner. While officers were dispersing the crowd, an individual approached the officers and stated he had just been stabbed. Officers observed that the victim had what appeared to be a stab wound to his right hand. Victim then told officers that he got involved in a fight outside of the ‘Boston Rocks’ Bar. Victim says he got involved in the altercation when a he saw an individual with a knife in his hand. According to the victim, he cut his hand when he tried to knock the knife out of the suspect’s hand. As the victim was being treated on scene for his injuries, he observed the suspect still milling around the crime scene. Officers then arrested Jason Monteiro, 23, of Roslindale and charged him with Assault & Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
