Two People Shot in RoxburyLast night around 8:58pm, officers from District 2 (Roxbury) responded to 15 Wayne Street for shots fired. On arrival officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The first victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and the second victim sustained a gunshot wound to the arm. Both victims were transported to Boston Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Officers were informed that the victims were sitting on the stairs in front of 25 Wayne Street in a group, when a black male wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt began firing shots from an alley. Officers did recover ballistic evidence from the scene.
One Person Shot On Wildwood Street in Mattapan
Last night around 11:33pm, officers from District 3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a person shot at 10 Hildreth Street. On arrival officers located a 14 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim stated he was shot on Wildwood Street. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition. Officers did recover ballistic evidence at the scene.
Two Arrested After Shots Fired
This morning around 2:00am, officers from District 2(Roxbury) were on a previous call on Columbia Road when they heard about six shots fired in the area of Columbia Road. Officers were directed to 161 Intervale Street. On arrival, officers from District 11 informed officers from District 2 that they were driving inbound on Columbia Road near Richfield Street, when they heard shots fired. At that time, officers reversed direction and observed two males one wearing a black hoodie and the other male possibly wearing a grey hoodie, standing around a vehicle speaking to three females. As officers turned onto Intervale the two males ran into 161 Intervale Street.
Officers spoke with a female who was seen speaking with the two males who fled on foot after shots fired. The female initially stated that she did not hear any gunshots, and that she had not been speaking to any males. The female retracted her statement and said that she observed some guys, but that she did not know them. The second female stated she heard the shots but did not know the two males. Officers entered the apartment in search of the two males who fled inside, and observed three males and female in a bedroom. Ronnday Sanford, 19, of Dorchester and Daniel Williams, 24, of Boston were both arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Firearm Discharge Within 500ft of a Dwelling. Officers did recover a firearm from the suspect, and ballistic evidence at the scene.
