DAILY INCIDENTS FOR APRIL 25, 2007

ONE LESS GUN At about 9:50pm, on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force observed a motor vehicle traveling on Geneva Avenue with its’ head lights not illuminated. Officers then activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) and stopped the car. As officers were approaching the car, officers observed the front seat passenger quickly lean forward as if to conceal a weapon. Officers then asked all occupants to exit the motor vehicle. As officers were conducting a pat frisk of the front seat passenger, officers recovered a loaded silver-colored revolver. Officers then arrested Scott Gomes, 17, of Dorchester, and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
SHOTS FIRED LEADS TO 3 ARRESTS IN ROXBURY
About 2:09am, on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of 584 Columbia Road. While en route to the call, officers observed a female running while repeatedly looking back. Officers stopped to speak to this individual who stated that she had been outside Cataloni\’s, a bar located near the corner of Hancock St and Columbia Road, when she heard 2-4 gunshots fired. The witness then provided a description of three suspects. Officers broadcast that description over Channel 3 of the police radio.
Officers soon located three suspects fitting the descriptions. The three suspects were found sitting in a motor vehicle not far from the scene. As officers were in the process of removing the individuals from the motor vehicle, officers observed one of the occupants (the rear seat passenger) drop his hand as if to hide something. Officers then observed and recovered a black firearm. Officers arrested Damian Suba, 29, of Dorchester, Lawrence Dotson, 29, of Mattapan and Ernest Lee Green, 29, of Dorchester and charged all three with the Unlawful Possession of Firearm and the Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Additionally, officers recovered 5 spent rounds from the crime scene.
INDIVIDUAL ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTING TO BREAK & ENTER IN BRIGHTON
At about 8:34pm, on Monday, April 23, 2007, officers from District D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a person breaking into a home a 37 Wiltshire Road. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated, after hearing noises, he got up to look out his window and when did, he observed a male attempting to break into his home. Victim then walked out his front door and observed the suspect cross the street and walk toward the end of a dead end street. At the end of the street, the victim watched the suspect pause at a car, looking as if he wanted to enter it, and then walk into the woods at the end of the street. Victim then provided police with a description of the suspect. Suspect described as stocky black male in his late 30’s, with a short haircut, wearing a dark short-sleeved shirt and dark pants. Officers then decided to watch the car at the end of the dead end street. After about 15 minutes, officers observed an individual, fitting the description provided by the suspect, exit the woods and enter the car. Officers arrested Jamal Rui Ingram, 30, of Chestnut Hill and charged him with Attempting to Break & Enter a Residence (Nighttime).
