DAILY INCIDENTS FOR APRIL 19, 2007

ARREST MADE IN ARMED ROBBERYAt about 8:48pm, on Sunday, April 15, 2007, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) received a radio call for a robbery in progress at 552 Beaver Street in Mattapan. On arrival, officers spoke to witnesses who stated that they observed three suspects enter the store at the above address. The three suspects then displayed firearms and demanded money. However, when the store employees were unable to unlock the register, one of the three suspects grabbed the entire register and pulled it off the counter. All three suspects then fled the store with the cash register in tow. A search of the area for the suspects proved unsuccessful. However, three days later, at about 4:07pm, on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) received a radio call pursuant to the above incident. Officers received information that one of the suspects from the above incident was believed to be in the area of River Street. On arrival, officers located an individual fitting the description provided. Officers then arrested Widmar Armad, 36, of Hyde Park and charged him with Armed Robbery.
DRINKING IN PUBLIC ARREST MADE IN THE SOUTH END
At about 10:40am, on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, officers from District D-4 (South End) were approached by a victim in the area of Gainsborough Street. According to the victim, the suspect threatened him inside Dunkin’ Donuts, saying,”I”ll mess you up.” When officers approached the suspect, the suspect began yelling and screaming at the officers. Officers then observed the suspect drinking from a bottle of Christian Brothers Brandy. Officers then arrested Larry McConaga, 49, of Boston and charged him with Being Disorderly and Drinking in Public.
2 ARRESTED BREAKING INTO CARS IN DORCHESTER
At about 3:52am, on Thursday, April 19, 2007, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a crime in progress at 63 Coleman Street in Dorchester. While en route to the call, officers were told (via the police radio) to be on the look out for a male, wearing either a black or blue coat, ducking down by a car trying to break into it. As officers drove down Coleman Street, they observed a black male leaning against the wall adjacent to the Harbor School. Officers then observed another male emerge from the passenger side of the motor vehicle in question. When the suspects saw the officers, both suspects began running. Officers then arrested 2 juveniles and charged both with Breaking & Entering a Motor Vehicle.
