DRUG ARREST MADE IN ROXBURYAt about 12:05pm, on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, members of the Area B (Roxbury/Mattapan) Neighborhood Drug Unit observed what appeared to be a drug transaction in the area of the Dudley Triangle in Roxbury. Officers observed two individuals talking together. Officers then observed the individuals make a hand-to-hand transaction. According to officers, the nature of the transaction was consistent with one seen during street level drug dealing. After observing the transaction, officers approached the suspects. Officers then arrested Daniel Mota, 37, of Dorchester and charged him with the Possession of Class A Drugs. Officers also arrested Jorge Diaz, 49, of Roxbury and charged him with the Distribution of Class A Drugs. Officers also recovered 2 small plastic bags of heroin.
BREAKING & ENTERING NEVER A SMART THING
At about 10:52pm, on Tuesday, April 16, 2007, officers from District D-4 (South End) received a radio call for an individual breaking into the MWRA water pump station located at 120 Malden Street. On arrival, officers spoke to witnesses who stated that they saw an individual, carrying a white bag, enter the construction site. Witnesses also told officers that there had been prior incidents of individuals breaking into the site and stealing copper wire. As officers entered the site, officers observed clearly posted signs that read, “No Trespassing.” Officers then observed an individual climb over a fence and flee in the direction of Albany Street. The suspect was wearing blue latex gloves. When officers caught up to the suspect and asked him about the gloves, suspect stated he wears them when he goes to the bathroom. Officers then arrested Edward Bradford, 57, of Boston, and charged him with Breaking & Entering (Night time)
